I started helping out at sessions a couple years ago, ever since then I’ve fallen in love with coaching. As I’m still riding, it’s a pleasure for me to try and pass on all that I’ve learned so far onto the younger generation. Just like what I received when I was young.
I started my coaching last year, just providing big group sessions. Since then, I have branched off to do structured small group and 1-2-1 sessions with my riders in Scotland.
I try to provide a slightly different aspect to my coaching sessions where I try to work on pushing the riders out of their comfort zone and test their bravery when it comes to new jumps, manuals and especially corners, race situations. Aswell as working on track/gate analysis and providing feedback.
As I have just turned 18 I’m looking to complete my level 2. Which will then allow me to work with riders remotely, outside of Scotland.
