Shaun Issitt has been involved in BMX racing since 1991, competing from regional through to international level. Bringing decades of racing knowledge into coaching, Shaun combines technical BMX insight with proven education and athlete development experience from his professional career as a Head of PE.
Shaun began coaching BMX in 2017, initially supporting a core group of Midlands riders before the programme expanded. In 2021, he was selected as the Midlands School Games BMX coach, reflecting his ability to develop riders in a structured, performance-focused environment.
Shaun currently coaches the BMX Hype team, working with riders from novice through to elite level. Sessions are designed to accelerate progression with clear skill development, race readiness, and confidence-building—supporting riders who want to improve rapidly while keeping training purposeful and enjoyable. Shaun is based at Nuneaton, offers private coaching, and is available for national coaching opportunities.
