With the National Series nearing its climax, Rounds 7 and 8 at Gosport delivered a doubleheader of high-stakes action, where consistency was tested and big movers emerged in the club series.
Crucial Consistency at the Top
Preston Pirates once again proved why theyāre the team to beat, holding firmly onto 1st place since the competition began back at the indoor. Behind them, Birmingham and Manchester maintained their podium spots, fending off pressure with flawless club execution. No slips there but Exeter Eagles & Braintree BMX are on the heels of Manchester BMX with only 150 points between the three clubs as we go into the final round.
Battle for Top 6
Andover continued their climb, rising to 6th overall after a strong Saturday and Sunday showing with three 1st places and three 2nd place finishes in the club to support their late charge up the leader board. Their duel with Bournemouth (8th) & Peckham (7th) is one of the tightest rivalries of the series as we go into the final weekend with only 30 points separating the three clubs!
Gosport breaks the Top 10
Hosting a National Series Event is helping clubs as Gosport after skirting with the top 10 finally broke into it on the first day and now firmly have Cumbernauld in their sights.
Big midfield Movers
-
MK BMX made a major leap too, climbing from 28th in the first week of racing to progressing to 18th are the biggest movers across the series since it started!
- Mid pack movesĀ when it comes to the midfield we saw lots of moves from the EA Region with MK (18th), Peterborough (21st), Royston Rockets (20th) and Norwich (27th) making moves up the board too as well as Decoy (19th) Runnymede (16th) and Knightwood (25th) all had a great outing to Gosport with improvements for the South Region teams.
Final Stretch Incoming…
With only 2 rounds left in Birmingham and the Championships, the standings are becoming tighter than ever! Every moto, every rider, and every point counts.
Will Manchester hold on to the podium? Can Exeter Eagles break the top 3? And who will survive the bottom-tier brawl?
